These terms cover your use of Licensed, a study app for California contractor license exams, at licensed.app and app.licensed.app and in our mobile apps. Using Licensed means you agree to them.

What Licensed is — and isn't

Licensed is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB), PSI, or any government agency.
Our practice questions are written by us to teach the same material the exams cover. They are not actual exam questions.
The readiness score is an estimate built from your practice evidence. It is honest, but it is not a guarantee you will pass, and no score in the app should be read as one.
Study content is not legal advice. Laws, codes, and CSLB rules change; we work to keep content current, but always confirm anything you'll rely on in your business against the primary source.

Your account

You can study free without an account. Buying course access requires one. Keep your credentials to yourself — course access is licensed to you personally and isn't transferable or shareable. We may suspend accounts that share access or scrape content.

Purchases, access, and refunds

Course access is a one-time purchase — no subscription, nothing recurring. It unlocks the course for 12 months (365 days) from purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
14-day guarantee: if Licensed isn't for you, email support@licensed.app within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked.
Prices may change; a change never affects access you've already bought.

Our content

The lessons, questions, explanations, and design of Licensed are ours (or licensed to us) and are protected by copyright. Your purchase grants a personal, non-exclusive license to use them for your own exam preparation — not to copy, republish, resell, or use them to build a competing product.

Liability

Licensed is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages — including exam results, licensing outcomes, or business losses — and our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law doesn't let us limit.

Ending or changing the service

We can update these terms or the app; material changes will be noted here with a new date. If we ever discontinue a course you've paid for before your access period ends, we'll refund the unused portion.
