Is the beta really free?
Yes. The beta gives you 30 days of the full Class B course: every lesson, the full question bank and timed practice. You need an account so your progress saves, but no card. Nothing renews and no card is ever taken. The lesson on this page needs no account at all.
What happens after 30 days?
Your beta access ends on its own, and your account and progress stay. To keep studying, choose the $79 / 90-day pass or the $149 / 365-day pass. Both are one payment with no renewal. Or stop, and you owe nothing. The beta is open until we close it; if you’ve already started, you keep your full 30 days.
What if I find a mistake?
Tell us. Licensed is new, and the course hasn’t had an independent expert review yet. Tap Report on any question that looks wrong, or use Send feedback in Settings. Every report is read. After your exam, log your result in the app so we can see how the course holds up.
Which exams is Licensed for?
Licensed currently offers California Class B exam prep, with separate General Building and Law & Business tracks. CSLB determines your individual exam requirements and any waivers. Other license classes are not available yet.
How is this different from a question bank?
The questions sit inside a learning routine: explanations, worked examples, recall, practice, and review. You can study the idea behind an answer, see the reference, and return to topics that need more work.
Do I need to know my exam date?
No. You can start learning before you book. When you have a date, add it to help shape your study schedule. Set aside the time you can realistically give each day.
Is this a subscription?
No. The beta is free for 30 days and then ends. After that, pay once for 90 or 365 days of course access. Access starts after successful payment and expires at the end of that period. It does not renew automatically. Both options include the same course features.
Can I use it on my phone and my computer?
Yes, both. Open app.licensed.app in any browser on your phone, tablet or computer. There’s nothing to install. Your progress is saved to your account, so you can start on one device and pick up on another.
Is Licensed affiliated with CSLB?
No. Licensed is an independent study product and is not affiliated with CSLB or PSI. Practice questions are original material, not official exam questions. Study indicators help you plan practice; they do not predict or guarantee a pass. Use the official study guides alongside your preparation.
